Community VS Competition

Applying this quote to nail techs I would like to take this in a different direction than you might assume and dig a little deeper.

I hear so many nail techs complaining about the "salon down the street" that did those nails or "I can't believe she charged that much for those nails". We have made it a competition and an unnecessary display of judgment.

These are your peers. These are other fellow nail techs. I  hate to say it but... YOU AREN'T PERFECT. Please for the love of nails stop bashing other nail techs. So what if they aren't "as good" as you. So what if they charged more than you. They are human just like you. 

The next time you notice yourself start to tear down another nail techs ego shift your mindset into a communion mindset. How can I help this other tech? How can I be a good peer? How can I do my part in building a strong nail community?

I promise that you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. 

If you are the nail tech reading this that is struggling in your community, struggling in your nails, struggling in your business.. there are people (like myself) waiting to help you out. There are other nail techs that genuinely want to see you succeed. Don't be afraid to ask for help or advice. Don't be afraid to learn. Don't be afraid to build a nail community in your area!
